Work-Life Balance

 We are all adults here, so we trust each other to manage our own schedules and time. We also offer truly unlimited PTO with an average of 4 weeks of vacation per year. We also have weekly productivity blocks which are designated to give you uninterrupted time to work on projects, tasks, or anything else on your to-do list. 

Learning and Development

 Every Tech Employee gets a $500 learning and development budget to use toward conference fees, educational materials, workshops, and more. Need more than $500? No worries, you can submit a request through our employee portal. Additionally, we have monthly workshops and development programs for all Snapsters including a Masterclass subsciption and bi-weekly development sessions.

Connection and Communication

Communication is key. Along with our full-company communication initiatives, you can expect regular team meetings and manager 1:1’s as well as a bi-weekly all-tech meeting filled with transparency on finances, clients, new team members, wins, challenges, team/organization/project changes, and more.

Recognition and Awards

 Snapster’s can give and receive recognition company-wide using our internal platform, Motivosity. Shout-outs are also given bi-weekly in our tech team meeting. To further recognize our people, we feature teams and individuals in our blog posts and internal newsletter.

Additionally, we have a Development Manager who hosts sessions dedicated to personal and professional goal-setting, such as Gap Analysis Trainings.

30 Days

Welcome to the team! In your first thirty days, you will begin your journey at Snapsheet by absorbing all the information about our company and processes through onboarding with our Tech Coordinator, one-on-one mentorship with your supervisor, and personalized training on our systems.

You will get acquainted with your team, meeting schedule, and begin learning how to take on small tasks. 

60 Days

Around 60 days, you should have names down and will be continuously learning about Snapsheet and your role by utilizing the tools and resources provided to you. You will be starting to take on your own small-medium tasks and continue to set the foundation for your success by getting involved in employee groups, Hackathons, and more! 

90 Days

At this point, you will have a decent understanding of Snapsheet's policies, processes, and plans! You should understand the broader goals and responsibilities of your team and how your role aligns. You will be implementing all that you have learned and will be comfortable owning larger tasks independently. 

6 months

6 months in you will be optimizing and leveraging your knowledge and skills to really make an impact! Your responsibilities will increase and you should be comfortable with delivering on your performance-based objectives. You'll be a crucial member of the team and will start proposing new tactics, projects, and ideas.  

1 year+

At the 1 year mark, you will be owning initiatives and even delegating tasks to other team members. You should feel comfortable helping new hires join the team and be a master of Snapsheet's products and offerings. You will continuously meet with your Manager to outline your career path and where you want to build your career. 

 

Interviewing @ Snapsheet

 

Interviewing is hard enough, so we purposefully keep our processes as simple as possible! As you prepare for your upcoming conversations, take some time to learn more about the interview process, who's involved, and how to best set yourself up for success. Depending on the role you are applying for, the interview process may look a little bit different, but here you can find basic information that will help you navigate each stage of the process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Congrats, you have made it to the final round! The final interviews typically consist of 2-3 interviews that last 30 minutes - 1 hour each depending on the role you are interviewing for. Each interviewer will ask in-depth questions regarding your background, technical skills, and motivations. 

Before your final interview, your Recruiter will send over specific prep materials and a confirmation email so you will know exactly what to expect.

Yes, we are a remote-first organization so all of our positions are WFH unless otherwise noted. Our office is located in Chicago for anyone in the area!

Yes, we are happy to sponsor candidates for any of our Engineering roles! Be sure to ask your Recruiter if you have any questions about the role you are applying for and eligibility for Visa sponsorship.

Our main tech stack is Ruby on Rails and React. More specifically, we use React to build single-page web applications, Rails to build our API tier, and MySQL as our main data persistence layer. We use Docker to containerize all our applications and host them on AWS. 

We know that your time is valuable, so we try and make our interview process as simple as possible! On average, interview processes take around 1.5 to 2 weeks depending on scheduling and availability. If you are on a tight deadline, feel free to let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
