Tech Leadership Spotlight

We sat down with Abhishek Kumar, Snapsheet's Director of Software Engineering, to
ask some questions about his time at Snapsheet, some favorite memories, and goals
for the future. Learn more about him below!

I was drawn to science and technology at a young age and when I was introduced to Computer Science, I was hooked. Through college, I was able to see the application it had in several areas and my love for it grew. My motivation for a career in software and technology was solidified by my experiences and mentors during my college education.

Most certainly the people that I work with, Snapsheet's culture, and the way we work with each other. It has the potential to have a meaningful impact on building a great product and to contribute to a great culture that represents all the things I believed in. It feels so good to be part of a team that has each other's back and how we can bring our minds together and roll up our sleeves when taking on challenges.

My favorite moments are usually the ones that are unscripted, like the time one of our Snapsters played the saxophone for everyone in the kitchen during the holidays.

Another one that comes to mind is when Brad's (yep, our CEO) ping pong coach dropped by unannounced and gave us all lessons.

The thing I look forward to most is traveling for leisure. I love exploring new places, being outdoors, and having new experiences. (Though with a growing family, there is a lot more that goes into planning one now.)

During my time at Snapsheet, I aspire to see our organization continue to grow and continue to bring us together with more amazing personalities. Along the way, I hope to keep learning every day and aspire to be a better team member and person.

Snapsheet Hackathons

Hackathons are a staple in the tech department as they encourage innovation and collaboration, and they allow individuals to work on projects outside of their daily workflow.

Our Hackathons take place over three days, culminating with presentations to a panel of judges. Some of the projects have even resulted in new features and upgrades!
