Meet Colette Bartosik: Vice President of Customer Value Management

What’s the best thing about Snapsheet’s culture?

All ideas are welcome, and the team wants to hear them! It is an environment where all ideas and opinions are shared, where feedback is valued, and no one is afraid of a healthy debate in pursuit of finding the best solution.

How did you get started in the work you do today?

All of the stages in my career have played a strong role in making me who I am today. I started in consulting, focused on insurers’ business strategies and how to drive improved customer engagement. After consulting, I shifted to working with leadership teams where I started by driving business development improvements and had the opportunity to help define and scale business investment areas. More recently I worked on driving business strategy at higher levels within organizations, starting from the top, and activating across geographies and among a larger and more diverse employee base.

My role today is the culmination of these experiences: being able to design around the needs of target buyers and an ability to align and articulate value, while bringing people together and empowering teams in delivering against a common goal.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work?

I love being part of a great team — it’s the former athlete in me! I enjoy learning from others, I love to create and share, and I am fueled by the accomplishments we’re able to achieve together. Team accomplishments can be much greater than what any one person can do on their own.  Work provides the opportunity to learn, grow and accomplish like this on a daily basis. It’s an opportunity to use each day to reach a higher potential.

How has your career grown since working at Snapsheet?

I’ve worked in large corporations for most of my career. Switching to an organization of smaller size, without as much established process has meant a greater ability to design based on intent versus driving shifts against long-standing processes and behaviors. That isn’t to say there isn’t a strong starting point today (there is!) but there is more flexibility to adjust, and at greater speeds.

Additionally, I find it really motivating being surrounded by people that are determined to change the industry. There is not a status quo, it’s a push to “Be the Next,” one of Snapsheet’s core values, and that helps drive my continued growth as well.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Italy! I love it all — the people, the language, the food, and the country. I had to choose a language to study in undergrad, and while most people chose something practical, I chose Italian because I thought it was beautiful. I’ve always been attracted to it and it’s a must-live place for me, even if only for a short stint.

What is your favorite hobby?

Anything outdoors that I can enjoy with my family is a win for me! I have two toddler boys and they are always on the go! My husband and I have always enjoyed outdoor activities and it’s really nice being able to share that with the boys and see their love for it develop.  We love being on the water, biking and exploring nature. Skiing is also a favorite winter hobby for us, and we are looking forward to introducing it to the boys this winter!
