Towards the end of 2019, which now feels like a lifetime ago, I started to write down my thoughts on how digital technology will impact the insurance industry in the next 10 years. This is a topic I’ve spoken about at more conferences than I can count – and directly relates to the past several decades of my career in working with insurers of all sizes around the globe on their digital strategies. More than ever before, it’s clear that the industry is seeing the impact of digital – and that the need for real, transformational change is coming into full view.
