February 2025 Release Notes
API Updates
Claim Closed Reason Code added to V1 and V2 Claim APIs
The V1 and V2 Claim APIs now support claim closed reason codes. Users can now pass a reason code in POST and PATCH requests, and the APIs will include reason codes in their response to GET requests. This data is contained within a new closed_reason_code field.
For more information, check out the API reference documentation for the V1 and V2 Claim APIs.
This change was made in preparation for the upcoming Claim Closed Reason Codes feature. Although users will be able to pass this new option in their requests, it will serve no functional purpose to Snapsheet Claims users until the feature is released. Members of the beta testing
group will see updates made via the APIs as long as they have Claim Closed Reason Codes enabled.
Claim Customization Updates
Claim Types added Loss Type Options table
The Loss Type Options table now displays each loss type’s associated claim type in a new Claim Type column. Additionally, users can now filter the table based on claim type.

Initial loading times improved for Claim View -
- Enhancement
Users should see improved loading times when they open and navigate through the Claim View.
Claims Management Updates
Policyholder names added to Claim View navigation pane - Enhancement
The navigation pane in Claim View now shows the policyholders associated with the claim being viewed. Multiple policyholder names are comma-separated, and will wrap to a second line if necessary.
If the names extend beyond the second line, users can click the Read More option to view any additional names.

Miscellaneous Updates
Upcoming changes to Single Sign-on (SSO)
In a future release, we’re updating SSO in Snapsheet Claims. We’re including this here to provide advance notice to customer IT departments.
Currently, we authenticate SSO logins and create/update user profiles based on the user's email address found in their identity provider (IdP) service. After receiving customer feedback and internal review, we will be transitioning to using usernames retrieved from the IdP instead. This is a more reliable source of the preferred email that should be used in Snapsheet Claims.
In most cases, the username and email address should match. In cases where they differ, the username will be used.
The username should be an email, and updated if not.
This change is currently projected to enter production environments on March 5, 2025. We recommend reviewing your SSO configurations and user records before then to ensure a smooth transition. In most cases, no changes should be needed.
Workflows Updates
Date/Time of loss and notification events added
Users can now create workflows and global events that trigger when a claim’s date/time or loss or date/time of notification is updated by Snapsheet Claims users (with Claim View access) or via Snapsheet’s APIs.
