At Snapsheet, our employees have the freedom to decide to work where and when they feel best, making it a core of our company culture.

Our 100% remote work policy fosters a healthy work-life balance essential for personal well-being and professional success. While we love the WFH life, we understand that some interactions simply cannot be replicated in a virtual environment. In 2022, our executive leadership team decided to bring us together in person by organizing optional events. These events, including our annual Summit, were all created with one goal in mind: to improve communication, develop connections, and strengthen the bond between different departments.

This year, we hosted our Second Annual Snapsheet Summit, a two-day conference inspired by our core value of “Stronger United.” More than 150 Snapsters from all corners of the country met up at our office for inspiring keynote sessions and celebratory moments. The Summit was intentionally crafted to nurture relationships, highlight collaboration, and envision the future of Snapsheet. Keep reading to discover more about the inspiring keynote sessions, celebratory moments, and how this event lies at the heart of Snapsheet’s culture.

Company Wins and Milestones

Day one of our Summit kicked off with CEO Brad Weisberg, increasing the energy by underscoring the outstanding achievements of the first half of 2023. In his presentation, he highlighted the importance of our most recent partnerships with State Farm and IAT, shared that we had achieved a new record-breaking month, and celebrated a handful of extraordinary employees who hit their 10-year anniversaries. Throughout his opening remarks, Brad emphasized how these remarkable victories would not have been achievable without the effective collaboration across all departments and teams. The best part? Everyone celebrated accordingly with pom poms (in Snapsheet’s colors, of course). 🎉

Industry Insights Galore

In a thought-provoking discussion, Snasheet board members Dennis Chookaszian, Howard Tullman, CEO Brad Weisberg, and President Andy Cohen took center stage in our Insurance Leaders Panel. They took a deep dive into the past, present, and future of the insurance and insurtech industry, sharing their insights and shedding light on its growth and what's to come in the future.

Building upon the discussion of AI, machine learning, and the future of insurtech, COO Dan Colomb and CTO Ryan Staudt kicked off day two by providing insights into Snapsheet’s future tech roadmap. As we forge ahead, Snapsheet’s Tech team is committed to staying at the forefront of technological innovation to ensure we remain the best today and in the future.

Unforgettable Memories

Summit is not just about business; it’s about creating memorable experiences and fostering a sense of community. Here’s a quick recap of some of the most enjoyable moments:

  1. Emotional Support Animal Session: For those missing their four-legged friends at home, our emotional support animal session brought smiles and comfort to our employees.
  2. Brad’s Chicago Boat Tour: We set sail on a Chicago River boat cruise, where we enjoyed city skyline views, bonding with colleagues, and a captivating fireworks display at the end of the evening!
  3. Meditation and Mindfulness Session: After a night on the river, we took a moment the following morning to unwind with a mindfulness and meditation session hosted by our Snapsheet’s Women’s Advocacy Group (SWAG), providing a much needed dose of tranquility.
  4. Carnival-Themed Summer Party: Snapsheet’s rooftop carnival was our send-off event, transporting each Snapster into a world of fun. From caricature drawings to ice cream and raffle prizes, it truly was a grand finale.

Until Next Year…

Snapsheet’s Second Annual Summit was a resounding success, underscoring the importance of collaboration, offering valuable industry insights, and celebrating the past year's achievements. One Snapster said it best:

“It felt so rejuvenating, amidst some intense projects as of late, to take a chance to focus on connecting with people and building relationships… It reignited my enthusiasm for the company. Getting to talk with coworkers and leaders [at Snapsheet] helped me to feel more valued and appreciated in ways that don’t always translate virtually.”

As Snapsheet continues our journey to set new standards and shape the future of the insurtech industry, our Summit served as a reminder of our commitment to team work and progress, and offered an opportunity to recognize the people who make it all possible.
